 I am a big fan of a Net a Porter's website and their newsletter of the style updates. It really keeps me informed with their new selections and the new designers out there. They make shopping online experience real easy and accessible for everybody  by having  newsletters, Facebook page, Twitter page, and Net a Porter app .
Net a Porter website is amazing. I love the layout ! Their delivery comes so fast, it is really impressive. They always send your order packaged beautifully. The website has a great selection of products and their prices are reasonable considering everything on the site are brand names. However their customer service is horrible. God forbid one has a problem with their order and want to get hold with a customer service representative, because that would be almost impossible. It is a real shame for a real nice website to have terrible incompetent people working for their customer service. In my opinion if the customer service is bad, it almost throws off all the positive things the site offers. Therefore, I find this website useless to shop from, but their newsletters would probably continue to stay a good update for me in the fashion sense. 

The iPhone White is Here !

The iPhone 4 , white version is finally out after 10 months of delay. It turns out that it's not only late, but also thicker than the black iPhone. I don't know why it took such a long time to release the white one, and I honestly find it to be useless to be release at this time, because everyone would want to wait for the iPhone 5 to be released, which is supposed to be within the next few months. Its very weird that apple website doesn't say anything about the size difference. I found out that there is a difference through Ryan Cash's blog site (http://ryancash.net), who posted comparison shots of the two models. He didn't measure the devices, but the difference is noticeable with the naked eye.I have no idea why Apple does not mention nor explain the reason for the thickness of the white phone, i hope they do so soon. So for now, for all those who are interested in the white iPhone and wont  use a case for their white iPhone 4 should have no problems with the extra thickness, but if you plan on buying a case for your shiny new white iPhone 4, it would be best to check if it fits first.

Kate Middleton's Second Royal Wedding Dress for Reception

Kate who will now officially be known as the Duchess of Cambridge, wore another gorgeous Sarah Buton for Alexander McQueen gown, while William traded his military uniform with a black tuxedo. Its not uncommon for the bride and groom to change into something more comfortable, so I don't think anyone was really surprised by it. 

I loved the simplicity of Kate's second wedding dress, she really looked stunning. Kate Middleton shined and dazzled at the wedding reception with the strapless white satin gown shown above. The dress has a subtle and simple cleavage and a gorgeous diamante detailing around the waist. Her gown has a little bit of a modern touch and emphasized by small details. She matched her second dress of the day with a simple white shrug that kept her warm for the night.

Limited Edition Gucci Bracelet for Japan Relief

Gucci has created a limited edition bracelet to help support the relief efforts in earthquake and tsunami ravaged Japan. The Gucci bracelet is white and red web, which brings to mind the colors of the Japanese flag. The bracelet has a medallion that read "Gucci Loves You." Gucci and its sibling brands in the PPR Luxury Group have collected 2 million dollars in donation for the Red Cross since Japans earthquake and tsunami. The bracelet is priced for $100 each, in which the company has pledged 100% of proceeds from the sales of this bracelet towards the Japanese Red Cross Society in supports of the victims of the earthquakes and tsunamis that pummeled Japan in recent months.

Easter Eggs

For years we have been decorating Easter eggs in solid vibrant colors with store-bought egg dye, food coloring dye, natural dye (ex: vinegar, beets, etc.), or the colorful art tissue paper found in art supply and craft stores. Easter egg decoration was always fun, but time and money consuming as well. Since this year round, i didn't have the time to run to the stores to buy the dying kit or make it naturally, i decided to use a different technique. I made face eggs by adding features such as mouth, nose, and eyes simply by using permanent markers that i had at home. Everyone loved it when they came over, and fought on which face egg they wanted to use and play with. I have to say, i loved how the Easter eggs turned out as well, it came out more creative, unique looking, less costly , much faster and enjoyable process. All in all , sometimes not using the traditional methods of thins turns out to be a more benefit able to the person.

Rumor ?!

I heard one of my friends talking about how Paris Hilton has herpes . I jumped into her conversation and asked her , how do you believe automatically what the media says? Obviously there are many rumors floating around about Paris Hilton and celebrities in general and I'm sure Paris Hilton having herpes is one of them. Later that day i went and checked on that rumor and it actually turned out true. This time its not just another rumor that's floating around. I honestly feel very bad for all the celebrities that have absolutely no privacy. All their news are out and about for the public. Definitely  a sad thing, but its a consequence that comes in with "fame" i guess. 

Affordable, Luxurious, and Great Location

I just had the the chance to upload some  pictures of Cabo San Lucas trip of my spring break. I have to say the best part of the trip was the hotel we stayed in. The hotel is very nice, exceptionally clean and the staff are extremely friendly. The employees Kimmi and Cesar were top notch, they made our stay welcoming and fun. I would love to return to ME Cabo for the reason that to see them again. Rooms were clean and modern, It has a nice balcony facing the pool from where we could observe all the action for the day at the pool. The pool always had music and ambiance as well as comfortable beds. This is not the place to go for only peace and quiet. ME is a party hotel on weekends, on the other hand the pool area on the weekdays is very quiet and relaxing. On Saturdays they tend to have loud music, where everyone dances around the pool area. Also on Saturday one has to reserve beds around the pool with a minimum charge, which was totally worth paying for.We all LOVED the swim up bar and the fact that they have happy hours in the mornings.

There isn't enough words to describe how impressed i was by ME Cabo. I would definitely want to go back to Cabo and won't even think twice about staying any where else but in ME by Melia. Overall we had a great time at Me Cabo and would recommend everyone to look at ME by Melia if you are heading to Cabo San Lucas.

A Well Living Lounge in CSUN

 

This is pretty amazing. I'm graduating this May from CSUN, and I'm still discovering new areas in the campus along with some of the services they offer that i have never seen before. I really wish I knew CSUN had this.   I remember there were many times in my past school semesters, where i had this huge gap in between classes in which i was extremely tired and was kept picturing a place to nap for as little as 2 minutes. I must say this is a one insane idea. A university that has a place for their students to release some of their stress and relax , it really must be every student's dream! So whoever is still going to be attending CSUN for next coming months, i highly suggest for you to take advantage of the amazing services the school is offering , and try to explore CSUN as much as you can ...don't just wait till your last semester to see stuff and regret not seeing it earlier.

I am a huge fan and i do visit Starbucks on a daily basis. A Shout Out To My CSUN Classmates !

As we all know , undergraduate students should try to get their upper division writing proficiency examination (UDPWE) when you're between 56-75 units in order for one to graduate. Today professor Brown Lee told us that the school has decided to put a hold on students' fall 2011 registration if they are at 75 units mark and haven't taken the exam yet. This is serious for many of the students who don't know this information, and who cant afford to be held back for registration nor graduation.

Reason Why Wedding Rings Are Worn On The Fourth Finger

This is an interesting insight of why the wedding ring is on the 4^th finger. I tried this, and I really wasn’t able to separate my fourth fingers from each other.  Also others have told me, that the reason one wears the ring on his/her fourth finger of the left hand, is because that finger has a vein that goes all the way up to the arm and connects to the heart. Coincidentally, the heart happens to be a little more to the left side of you chest, hence the left the ring worn on the left hand.  I am not hundred percent accurate of this information, but the idea, reasoning and the subject itself is pretty interesting.  All in all this video is an eye-opening subject matter for me, since I never thought about fingers as symbols until I watched this video.

My Graduation Ring is Here

During the Grad Fest last month i went to one of the vendors and ordered the graduation ring. I received the ring today in the mail, and I am extremely happy with it. I think i made a mistake by ordering the red stone, I wish I ordered the blue one instead, but overall I'm happy about it. I love how I was able to engrave my name and the graduation date in the inner side of the ring. I was also able to write on the sides of the ring. On one side I wrote class of 2011 , and on the other side I wrote B.A. Communication Studies. It turned out great, now I got to wait for the actual graduation ceremony :)

Power Outage Caused by a Rat !

According to Fox News, the power went out in Arizona State University's Tempe campus. because of some rat that ran across some power supplies that burned out switches in a campus substation. On April 11th many classes were canceled, some students were stuck in elevators and fireman had to carry a 350 pound graduate student and his wheelchair up the stairs of the university, after the student had to waited for approximately three and half hours for the elevator to work.
This is some strange story. Who thought that there would ever be a power outage of campus buildings, because of a rat! It's crazy how everything is interconnected. we really do live in a system nature, and that is exactly why this power outage occurred in the first place; this is exactly what we call "butterfly effect". Everything is systematized in this world. Chaos should be expected at anytime, because evidently if one tiny change or event at one place in a complex system van have large effects elsewhere or even result in significantly different outcome.

Apple's iPhone 5 Rumor Updates !

As we all know that iPhone 5 is going to be released this June. But according to the yahoo news and the rumors floating around, that apple is going to delay its release to sometime this fall or even 2011 . I honestly don't know if that's a good move by apple . It might be good news for the Verizon people, because the just got hold of their new iPhone 4. They would be really disappointed if the iPhone 5 comes out after few months from the time that they just received the iPhone 4 . Also the iPhone 5 probably has some technical issues to work out. So them holding it out for the reason that they can sell iPhone 4 without loosing there investment in the phone that just recently came out. Since the cat is out of the bag, the customers probably will holdout and still will hold out for the new phone. So either way it will be in their best interest to bring out the new phone bug free. On the other hand this decision could harm apple in my opinion. I think if iPhone 5 doesn't announce its release date soon , they will face a huge competition this year from the booming Android phones and especially the Samsung Galaxy.

Horrifying Sandstorm attacks Kuwait on March 25, 2011

      A massive blinding sandstorm had hit Kuwait before yesterday! It was an unexpected sandstorm that forced the international airport to shut-down. While drivers had to slow-down or stop as the sand turned skies into an orange brown, enveloping the whole city.

 If you haven’t seen a sandstorm, then you should consider yourself really lucky. I was looking at the videos; it’s like something right out of a movie with dark cloud hovering over the city. It looks so scary; I have never seen anything like that there before. I’ve experienced sandstorms when I lived in Kuwait, but nothing like this.

      As I saw the videos, the first thing I did is picked up the phone and called my parents in Kuwait and checked on them , they told me they were on their way to somewhere , where they only had 5 more minutes to get to their destination . They suddenly saw the air filled with sand, that made it very difficult to drive on the near-zero visibility roads. Their 5 minute driving distance, had turned to 3 hours, so you can only imagine how difficult and dangerous is to drive where you could not seen anything. The storm went on for several hours. Besides the disruptive air /road travel, and the blinding dust, sandstorms can cause major respiratory problem for children, the sick and the old. Not to mention damage of the overall area and plants. Hope nothing major happened to anyone in Kuwait during this horrible sandstorm disaster.
